The Dark Knight… revisited

So I just saw The Dark Knight.

Again.

And guess what? It didn’t change. It’s still amazing.
But now that I had the plot down, I could look at all the little things. Camera angles, costumes, tiny jokes, cinematic flair…

And that just cemented The Dark Knight in my list of greatest movies. Ever.

I mean, there are a lot of things in this movie that add up to an amazing experience. Not the least of which is the music. Hans Zimmer is definitely one of my favorite movie composers. And then the interrogation scene, that has some nice touches to it.

And they made the Joker seem so insane, so well.

So, yeah, still a great movie. If you haven’t seen it, you need to. If you don’t like comic book movies, still go. It’s definitely worth it. Not only is it an amazing Batman flick, but it delves into the basic idea of good and evil and that everyone can do either. It’s just great.

Soul Calibur II

So I got this random urge to play this game again today. And I know why.

It’s great.

I remember this was the game we played on the demo PS2s in Best Buy before we had a PS2. It was so much fun, even my little sister played. So my parents made sure they got it along with the PS2 for Christmas.

I always think about that while playing. Voldo still makes me laugh because of Mom, Dalton and Caitlin’s reaction to him.

Well, off for another round of Soul Calibur.

Check it out. You’ll like it. Although, if you have a Gamecube or Wii, get the GC version so you can play as Link, a character exclusive to the GC. Trust me.

College

I feel so horrible right now. I started to fill out a college app and it was going fine, until I got to the extracurricular part.

I have almost nothing to put on there! And then it asks how I spent my last two summers. How am I supposed to answer that?!? I did nothing, what summer’s there for! Gah! After this I am so depressed and pretty much certain I’m never getting into college.

Hopefully I’ll realize I have stuff to put in there but right now, I feel horrible. Like I’m doomed to never get into college and work at MickeyD’s.

That’s definitely not the mechanical engineering or materials science I wanna do.

Definitely not the private space company my friends and I talked about.

Just pray for me.
